What Are HPV Warts?
HPV warts are one of the most common sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). Also called HPV genital warts, they look like small, fleshy bumps on the genital area and may sometimes form into large cauliflower-like clusters. Female HPV warts can form on the vulva, the cervix, and between the vaginal canal and the anus. In men, they usually occur along the penis, the anus, and the scrotum. HPV warts can also occasionally appear in the mouth and throat, although the virus thrives better in genital tissues.
Some HPV genital warts are too small to be seen or felt, and don’t cause any symptoms. But if left untreated, they can become large and uncomfortable and cause itching, genital discomfort, and bleeding during intercourse. HPV warts also increase your risk for other health problems, particularly cancer. The virus that causes them, the human papillomavirus (HPV), has been linked to genital tumors such as cervical and penile cancer.
While there is no cure for HPV genital warts, relief is available with some safe, natural and effective products. We’ve been impressed with this natural treatment for genital warts. We prefer this method to burning or freezing off the warts which is a common “treatment”.
